I took the opportunity to visit Florence ( shortlisted as one of the cities you have to visit before you die) and PISA. Every time to go to Italy you will have to get used to names like Michaelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci and Galileo Galilei etc.I would like to talk about PISA
Pisa is a small town with the total population as of 2015 census is only about 91,104 . But is is a popular tourist destination the world over and for me too – flying from Munich into Florence, staying 2 nights there , I proceeded to take the train on the 3rd day to PISA Central Station to fly back to Munich via Pisa Airport also known as Galileo Galilei Airport. You see – you have to know these names. Pisa was the birthplace of the important early physicist Galileo Galilei.
So PISA- so the Leaning Tower of Pisa, in Tuscany, Italy is about 20 minutes away from the PISA Central Station. Wait a minute- Do you know that Malaysia has its very own Leaning Tower too. The Leaning Tower of Telok Anson in the state of Perak, Malaysia. But there are not that many people visiting the local version . WHY?
According to the traditional account, to refute the Aristotelian notion that heavier objects fall faster than light ones, Galileo performed an experiment from the top of the leaning tower of Pisa. He dropped two spheres of different weight and observed that both hit the ground at the same time. Galileo correctly reasoned that when an object falls more slowly, it is due to air resistance. An object moving solely under the influence of gravity is said to be in free fall; near the surface of the Earth such an object falls at an acceleration of 9.8 
Most historians consider it to have been a thought experiment rather than a physical test. Could it be just that – story telling?
